With roots tracing back to the 15th century, this Temple relates to 732 Anjaneya idols installed by Shree Vyasaraja Teertha Swamy who lived from 1460 to 1539. The Temple holds significant place in history due to the rediscovery and reinstallation of Shree Swamy who was found in a dilapidated stone mantapa.
During the formation of the RBI layout, there were numerous hinderances and challenges which were delaying the progress of forming of the layout. It was at that time, guidance from Mahaswamy Shree Shree Shree Chandrashekarendra Saraswathi of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam was sought. Swamiji who was on maunavrata during that time, advised through writing on a slate that the Idol of Lord Shree Varadanjaneya was in an unattended state and reinstallation of Swamy and regular poojas would solve the problems faced.
As per the order of Mahaswamy, the idol of Shree Varadanjaneya was reinstalled on Shravana Masa Krishna Tritiya in the year 2000. The Devasthana Seva Trust has been formed to attend to the daily affairs of the Temple.
